Can I Send You My Flooring to Make a Matching Stair Nose?
When Sending a Sample Makes Sense
Most of the time, the best way to identify your flooring for a custom stair nose order is by providing the brand name, color name, and SKU. But some situations make a physical sample the better approach:
- Your flooring has no brand marking visible on the planks
- The color name on the box has been lost and cannot be determined from an online search
- The flooring was installed before you bought the home and the previous owners left no records
- The LVP is a discontinued color or private-label product with limited online documentation
How the Sample Process Works
- Contact us first. Email order@floormatch.com before sending anything. Describe your floor and explain why you can't identify it by brand or SKU. We'll let you know if sending a sample is the right approach.
- Send a 6-inch minimum section. If we ask you to send a sample, send at least 6 inches of plank (a full-width section, not a sliver). The larger the sample, the better our color-matching team can work.
- We evaluate and respond. Our team will assess whether we can match the color. This may take 3-5 business days.
- Order and production. If we can match it, you'll place your order and we'll begin production.
What We Cannot Match
Very unusual or artistic LVP patterns (marble, herringbone, or heavy distressed visuals) may not be reproducible in a stair nose format. We'll tell you upfront if your color falls into this category.
